A reproducible global data project

Protein supply,
scaled to bodies.

Compare countries across time, place the ecological indicator beside one clearly selected protein reference, and explore its relationship with GDP per capita.

One context, two endpoints.

01

Minimum

The lower endpoint of the selected recommendation is drawn as a thin dashed line.

02

Upper end

The upper endpoint is drawn separately. It is the top of that specific recommendation, not a universal safety maximum.

03

No universal protein upper intake level

A general tolerable upper intake level has not been established, so the interface does not invent one.

The hypocaloric athlete range remains explicitly based on fat-free mass and is converted only with a visible body-fat assumption.

The assumptions stay visible.

01

Protein is supply

FAOSTAT reports food available at the end of the supply chain. It is not a direct survey of what each person consumed.

02

Weight is estimated

The preview derives an adult proxy from sex-specific BMI and representative-cohort height. The next model will use age-sex population weights.

03

GDP is context

The GDP plot adds economic context. Its cross-country correlation is descriptive, not a causal model.
